Johann David Wyss
Johann David Wyss (1743 – 1818) was a Swiss author best known for his adventure novel “The Swiss Family Robinson.” He was born in Bern, Switzerland, and came from a family of pastors. Wyss had a strong interest in education and natural history, which is reflected in his writing.
