Jack London (1876-1916) was an American author, journalist, and social activist, best known for his adventurous and nature-themed novels and short stories. Born in San Francisco, California, London’s early life was marked by poverty and hardship, but he went on to become one of the most popular and prolific writers of his time.

London’s writing was heavily influenced by his experiences as a sailor, gold prospector, and adventurer, and he drew inspiration from his time spent in the rugged landscapes of the Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush. His most famous works include “The Call of the Wild” and “White Fang.
