Heart of Darkness

It’s a story nested within another tale, with Charlie Marlow as the narrator. He’s sharing his adventure with a group of men aboard a docked ship. Marlow initially worked as a ferry boat captain, transporting ivory downriver. However, his attention shifts towards Kurtz, a government-employed ivory agent. Kurtz, once hailed as a symbol of progress, now holds god-like status among the local population in a distant and foreboding place. Marlow starts to suspect that Kurtz has lost his sanity.
