The houseboat on the River Styx serves as the most fashionable gathering place in the afterlife, drawing some of history’s most eminent figures like William Shakespeare, Confucius, Napoleon Bonaparte, George Washington, and Socrates. However, the presence of these celebrated individuals also attracts less reputable characters from history. Among them, the infamous pirate Captain Kidd seizes an opportunity to procure cigars from London using the houseboat. Now, the vessel has vanished, and only one deceased individual possesses the deductive prowess required to locate Kidd and the boat—the world’s preeminent detective, Sherlock Holmes.
