Pavel Klushantsev

Pavel Klushantsev was born in a Russian family in Saint Petersburg. His mother was a well-bred homemaker. She held a teaching position in a boarding school following the October Revolution. Her older brother, a former White officer, was imprisoned in camps after being detained on suspicion of killing Sergey Kirov in the 1930s. Her malnutrition during the Leningrad Blockade led to her death. The Tver Oblast’s little hamlet of Staritsa is where Pavel’s father was born. After graduating from the Saint Petersburg medical college, he spent several years working as a zemstvo physician. Later, he was given a personal nobility and appointed to serve in the Russian Empire’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry. 1919 saw his passing.
